Grooters is a science-fiction saga for grown-ups with unfinished dreams. It follows six friends through eighteen Dream Worlds, and asks what the life still waiting for each of us could look like.
The books
Book 1 is published in English and French, and Book 2 in English. Book 3 is written and Book 4 is half written. Around the books, Book 1 has a visual companion and soundtrack notes, and Books 1 to 3 each have a soundtrack playlist on Spotify. A Grooters card game is planned.
The film
I’m currently producing a trailer for a film adaptation, together with Creatorwood.tv. The aim is a film made entirely with AI. Producing the full Season 1 would cost around €100,000. By my estimate, that is about a thousand times less than a conventional Hollywood production of a science-fiction story set on five continents.
Why a publishing partner
Writing, publishing, translating and promoting a multi-book saga is more than one person can do well. A publishing partner would let me focus on finishing the remaining books and the film.
How it connects
The saga is the source of several other projects. A chapter of Book 1, in which the heroine Verity wakes up in the Geneva of 2061, became Geneva 2061. The women of the saga illustrate Learned Beauty.
